Dr. Daniel Sousa is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician with over two decades of experience in patient care and clinical research. He currently serves as an Investigator at Lucida Clinical Trials in New Bedford, MA, and Genesis Clinical Research in Fall River, MA. With a career deeply rooted in evidence-based care, Dr. Sousa brings his clinical expertise and research leadership to a variety of therapeutic areas.

His career began in Internal Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident before completing a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care. He has since contributed to multiple Phase 3 clinical trials and specialized studies focused on COPD and the diagnostic imaging of pulmonary nodules. Dr. Sousa is highly regarded for his thorough, compassionate approach to care and commitment to advancing new treatments through research.

Dr. Daniel Sousa earned his Bachelor of Science from Providence College before pursuing his medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He then completed his residency, chief residency, and fellowship training at Rhode Island Hospital/Miriam Hospital.
